I have a pair of latz clownfish that hat I have had over 3 years. They started to spawn & I am raising the fry. They used to cost a small fortune. There was a store in Hawaii that sold them for $150 plus shipping but they went out of business. I can find them on "sale" at an online store for $454. Does anyone know the current market value of these clownfish? I would like to also know the value difference of full bar vs miss bar.

Beautiful babies. Always loved them and even considered selling my Picasso clowns to own a pair of Latz. Great job raising them. Hopefully someone will help with the market price

I can generally find them for 80-100.00 each when available.....I have seen stores charge 150 or more for them though.

I can just drive 10min and catch them, although I don't like to take anything off reefs and don't follow anyone that does gahh I love Australia but. Not trying to rub it in or anything [emoji23]

That's good if your babies are coming out full bar. Quick sale 100$ regular 150$ didn't SA sold them? But I think all of theirs were mis bars

Pretty sure they're illegal to catch as they live in protected areas.

The Stradbroke island waters are protected where the latezonatus are as well being that this species of clown fish is in substantial numbers in the waters that surround the island.
From many years back to this day they were a fish that would be seen on regular dives around the island. They found in Australian waters from the very southern barrier reef in the north along the NSW coast to Lord How island in the south. Morton bay is protected this starts Caloundra (Sunshine Coast) than Followed to North wall at the sea way (Gold Coast), although if you look in the right spots they are in tweed bar and South wall non protected waters

I read a post on another forum that Karen Brittain has been too busy with Rising Tide Conservation to raise clownfish fry. This is probably the reason I find it difficult to find them for sale online. My clownfish came from her. I have full bar & misbar. The cheapest I can currently find them is over $400. What sites can I lock up to view cheaper prices?

Pacific island aquatics was selling them for 80-140 before he closed up shop. Are you going to be selling them? 200 shipped is the way to go for full barred. Miss barred are genetically fine and will produce full barred off spring but the price comes down to 120 shipped.
