Rare from Australia......neospongodes

supposedly these are from Australia they're not fully open yet the sun just started hitting them anybody know what they are their names

The one on bottom avocado color greenish lightly with each polyps burgundy or dark brown polyps which look like dots when they're closed.

Other one grey body and tips purple mauve
yellow one colors are obvious

The way a coral reacts to light can be dependent on the locality, depth, and clinal area by which it was collected from. There are likely dozens of species of nephtheids (if not more), many of which are undescribed. I suspect that this is just a species that comes froma different spot on the reef than other previously collected specimens

I agree, can't find any reference to these and especially the yellow with dark red, that one is very odd. Bummer

I saw the yellow with dark red for sale somewhere on a site recently.

Found out this morning that these corals are part of the family of neospongodes. Love the yellow one, need medium to high lighting

Believe those are Scleronephthya or Cauliflower coral.. mine is from Bali... any reasons it is placed sideways?

We rarely see those that big here in the US, really nice. Sideways or upside down easier for them, less energy to open and close. Thanks for sharing
