Rare soft corals

Not sure what this one is, but it's my favorite coral in the tank.

3 years growth from this.

What color is that ? Looks great !

What is it if you don't mind me asking? I am looking to add a few soft corals so have been window shopping to make a new shopping list :D

Nice color.

chili leather -- Alcyonium palmatus

Thanks. Huge help. I didn't see many on a search but found 1 at blue zoo. Never ordered from them so will look around and ask Pacific East. Added to my list so thanks everyone :)

Mine came from Blue Zoo (along with some fish), shipping company lost the box for an extra day but everything still arrived alive in clear water.

Right now the rare soft coral I have that I have not seen many with is the Red Pulsing Xenia. It's a true Xenia that of course pulses under low current and just like the common Xenia most see grows similar other than that its much slower in growth. The photo below is a bit older when I first obtained it.

Yes, this is NPS.... Is there a reason you think it isn't?
I dont believe it is a chili. I have looked at quite a few online and the structure is very different. Much closer to that of a sinularia.

It grows well with med lighting, and I feed very light. If it were NPS, I would imagine it would have withered away by now.

I have no experience with NPS, just my assumption though.

These are older pics, with a lot of blue light, but up close.

Anyone else have any insite?

I think you misunderstood, my response was to someone asking what one of my photos were, not yours.

Have the polyps fully extended now?

Yes! I moved it to a new location and they came out much further, unfortunately it's in a weird spot to try and get a photo. Lights aren't even in ramp up yet, I'll see if I can catch a photo for you tomorrow though.
