Whats the big deal with these palys? Are they really worth $500 for one polyp and a baby or two. From the pics they dont even look that great. Whar are your guys opions?

I'm with ya and ain't NO WAY they're worth more than $100pp IMO! Then again other than a bowser I can't see spending more than $100 on any paly or zoa.

They are worth whatever someone will pay. 'course with the net some folks are happy to stick a nutty price tag on something to see if they get a bite. If you had to pay rent on your store like a brick and mortar you would never be asking those prices.

This wasn't an asking price. That's how high the bidding went. However, I agree with each of you. No way one polyp of any paly is worth that kind of money and the picture looked crazy photoshopped. No two palys on that frag plug looked the same. In my opinion this is an unfortunate side of our hobby.

I seem a pic of them. I would have wanted a daylight pic before I spent that money. Check out MYFRAGS site for a pic

They are nice but way outa my range ... will wait until they come down.

They are only that high because the pic shows a colony of them and nowhere in the description does it state that you either get the colony or just 1 polyp. I have a feeling Rich will get screwed on this one with a PayPal money reversal.

I read it was a full polyp and babies

I saw that pic - it was so photoshopped that I thought it was a lead up to a April fools joke - but I guess I was wrong, someone bought it

I saw them and they're very nice. The price on actions are ridiculous but if someone want's to pay that price more power to them. The frag listed has a bunch of babies. I had something very similar to those but the rainbow rastas have more color on the skirt. He wanted to trade me for a donatello and I told him I better get 5 of those for a donatello lol. When i get a few I'll put a halide and led shot comparison shot

If it was WYSIWG then it might be worth it, but I still wouldnt have bid. I wont participate in any ebay auctions of rnegrets stuff, not because I dont trust him or think his stuff is garbage, but because people suck.

Just this week, I was reading on another reef forum where people were bragging about bidding up the price of one of his pieces with no intention of buying it. Thats pretty lame and I dont want to play silly games like that. If Im going to buy something from him, Im going to just email him.

They posted a wysiwyg picture in the thread they have here and it's 1 polyp with maybe 2 babies. In the picture it looks great but we all know that pictures can be deceiving. Like some others stated already in my opinion the price is ridiculous, but it is worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it.
