I got two frags of Rastas on Tuesday and have them in my sand bed which is about 31” from the lights. There are about 10 little heads on each frag. A couple look like they want to open but haven’t. Do you think they want more light or will it just take a little longer? All my other zoas either opened right away or within a few hours and it’s been almost a week so I’m a little worried about them.

Type of lighting? I keep Rasta mid way or higher in the tank.

Sorry...Kessil a360 WE 90% blue, 10 white, 60% intensity. About 31” from bulbs to sand bed, where they are. I’d like to move them higher up but don’t know when/how I should do that since I just got them Tuesday. I did move them in a little more flow and one of the frags seems more motivated to open.

Mod flow and lighting. My Rasta colonies have taken a lot of abuse, they are quite hardy.
With that said some zoanthid frags just fail to thrive. Ignoring them has worked for me, slowly move the frag around a couple times, and walk away if everything else in the tank is doing well.
