What do you experts recommend for rate of adding new corals? I don't have a frag tank to just keep them until they go into the show tank.

Have just 1 star polyp so far. Watching him closely for any signs of change (other than growing)..LOL..

Thanks in Advance!

As long as chemistry and lighting are in line you can add as many as you're willing to risk.
Unless you're adding corals that are active eaters and feeders like Dendros then adding most other corals should not dramatically influence water quality.
For practical reasons I add a few a week when stocking to make sure that lighting and chemistry is in order to protect my investment. I am certainly not going to spend a lot of money on Acropora or other sps until I have some success with cheaper test pieces. One can probably add as many soft corals at one time as you want to. It really comes down to the sensitivity of individual coral types.
