Hey yall I have a 30 gallon tank that has ben running for 8 months.I want to add a Rose Bubble for my clownfish, i found a store selliing nice huge heads. All of them are $100 and I have seen them for over a year now at this LFS. Thoughts on size decision and thoughts about RBA in general.

Kinda pricey imo but then again you live in Alaska so I assume you have way less people producing anemones. I say go for one (assuming you have the right light, flow, etc.)

They have big ones and small ones, actually I live SoCal. And all the fish stores by me sell rose tip for $150 IMO. $100 is a steal, considering these anemones are more pricey. They are approximately 2-3 inches wide, and 5-8 inches vertical

Oh for some reason I was thinking Fairbanks nor Burbank for a minute there hahaha.

Lol I sell my bubble tip anemones for like $10.

If you lived local, I'd hook you up. Mine are constantly splitting.

Here in the shop 75/90 euro for a normal red one, local reefers free or between 5 to 25 euro.

Its the most stupid expensive thing you can buy because it splits ! I have 1 normal and i got 3 splits because i ripped one of the splits apart. It survived so i went from 2 bubble tips to 4 bubble tips whyyyy ask so much money for them ripp off

I've seen you post a few times but was very confused on what the actual age of your tank is as you keep reporting different numbers. Looked back and you had a cycling thread for a 30 gallon tank only 5 months ago so i dont think you are ready for the anemone just yet. Near me though anemones are pretty easy to come by for $30-50 from local reefers, look in the livestock selling section and you should be able to find some near you when the tank has matured a bit more.

This is the post from september, nothing too bad but it will just help the people trying to give you advice to know what is going on with your tank.
Hello y’all currently 15 days into Cycling my saltwater tank. It is a 30 g and I currently have hermit crab’s nassarius snails and 2 chromis. They have all been in the tank for about 10-12 days and I am curious when I should be ready to add my next load of fish, I was thinking to wait 2 more weeks. is better to do a water change first. Any ideas or thoughts. My Salinity level is 1.027 as I just topped it off with RO water. The Ph is approximately 8.1-8.2 and the Nitrate is about 30ppm

I would check local reefers first. Better health and prices usually. I haven't sold any nems in a while but the last one was a 10" rainbow I sold for $50.

Edit: didn't see the whole Alaska part.

Rose and and rainbow. Honestly they probably have both become the same color in my tank by this point and I have removed so many from my tank at this point that it doesn't matter to me lol. If I lived anywhere near you I'd just give you some for free.

Can I see more pictures of your tank! How long have you had it?

Any thoughts on where I can introduce a RBA or do I just let it move around and find it’s own spot?

put it somewhere on the rock hopefully away from any corals. and turn the flow almost of for about 5 mins and let the foot stick. Then turn on the flow and hope it stays where you want it too. Make sure to have power heads covered. this is usually what I do. Sometimes I cover my really really nice corals pieces, and small frags

My power head is very small like half cenimjetwe wide. I still need to cover it?
