the 1st week I had this RBTA, she was amazing. open and awesome looking but one day she decided to close up. I didn't think too much of it as I've seen my BTA's do this and they've always been fine the next day. the 2nd and 3rd day she decided to close up, I saw some bright orange stuff flying around the tank. saw the RBTA and it was peeling... peeling?!? I've never seen this before but still I just thought that it's just something BTA's do when acclimating. a few more days of being closed up and spitting its guts out and I pretty much wrote it off. waiting for it to unattach itself so I can discard it. anyway, today. I went to check up on the tank and this is what I saw. she's fully puffed up but with bubbles and no tips?!? I'm not sure if this is normal for BTA's to do. has anyone experience this before? pics below aren't the greatest as she decided to move behind the BTA rock where I cannot get a good pic of her. any help is appreciated. Thanks.

this is pretty much what I see from the front glass.

I had a RBTA that did this for about 3 or 4 days. I think its just how they choose to inflate themselves. After those few days, it started showing it's tips again. I wouldn't be worried, really. Just monitor it!

Thank you. I'm just gonna give her some time to figure what she wants to do. :)

Sometimes if clowns bother a nem so much it'll close up and hide away from them. I'm not sure if your nem was stressed and you're just seeing the post stress effect from the nem. I'm sure the bubble tips will come back eventually.

Thanks again for the input. It seems like the RBTA looks much better at night as its very puffy and during the photoperiod, it's smaller. Don't really know but I'm just gonna let her be.

The RBTA is looking better each day. Actually puffed up nicely yesterday, with bubbles but still no tips.

I have seen a lot then when you pick them up, they have the tips. And once introduced into a new tank they stay that wy for a lil while. Then they do their water change I think once they feel they will be staying. I think they get stressed from going to bag to tank, to different temp, light, surroundings. Then once they feel they are at home do a water change. When this has happened to me, I usually feed within about 2 days of them doing a water change, and the tips come back and some. Maybe just my experience, or my 2 cents. GL
