Best pic I could get. I’ve had this guy for about 2 weeks and it was doing amazing. My parameters are all normal. And today it wasn’t looking well. Mouth wide open and some brown stuff coming out. It fell off its rock once and I put it back and it’s just kinda laying there mouth wide open. But the color seems ok.
I don’t know if I should write it off yet please help

Need some more info. Need parameters listed, lighting used, white light pic and age of tank. Also may want to look into if you can get your hands on some cipro in the mean time.

Nitrates being zero is an issue. I try to keep mine between 10 and 15. Alkalinity? Phosphate?

I don't think lighting is the issue (at least not the immediate one). Nitrate being zero and lack of alkalinity and phosphate reading are more likely the culprit.

This morning he had moved. And seems to me like it doesn’t look as bad. Maybe just wanted a change of scenery?
