I am going to get two RBTA's soon and was wondering if they carry hitchhikers. If so, what type and how do I mitigate the entry of them into the tank.

What should I look for and what can I do?
everything should always have some degree of a quarantine period in case infectious organisms or predators of livestock are coming along. Now in practice not everyone quarantines. Its also good to dip corals.

Most hitchhikers are safe and beneficial, most pose no risks or dangers, so don't go paranoid trying to sterilize every new addition that passed a quarantine protocol. Also a good rule, parasites usually die within a month or a couple months without a host, so its not very likely to get issues from a years old completely unchanged setup
