RBTA is acting weird

Probably a million of this smae thread, but I can't find any of them. My nem is shrinking and closing up what is the deal? I had fed it a couple days ago which I normally don't feed them because of the clowns. Is the rbta going to split or?......

Salinity is fine and I just started to dose cal and alk agian 3 days ago on my controller and 1.1ml brs pumps. I have been doseing by hand here and there.

Ok it looks like I was being over protective about my RBTA, but I have never seen it get really small and just close up during the day! I have had this nem for over a yr and I have never really seen it do that as far as I can remember. I havn't seen it grow what so ever so it's really weird to not see it grow after a yr. I had a rbta nem in the past that doubled is size every 2 months, but I did feed it from time to time.

BTA's in general are experts at acting funny. Getting big, small, expelling waste, even splitting in two. Unless there is a noticeable tear, bleaching, of stringy intestine like substance coming from the mouth, you are probably ok.

It's just expelling waste. It'll puff right up again after a couple hours.

What I don't understand is that one of the nems isn't growing at all? I have had it for at least a yr and nothing the other RBTta next to it I have noticed growth what the heck? lol

didnt want to start a new thread on this exact topic. but i just got this rbta yesterday and he closes up real tight when the lights go out. just curious if this is normal behavior. when open he is on the small side. maybe about 5" across. but my clowns have already taken interest in him.

well he has opened back up already. tried to feed him my my greedy clown stole the food out of his mouth before he could get it down. but i think both my picasso clowns will host it. so they should feed him when he needs it. if i am mistaken please correct me.

If your having trouble feeding your nem. Cut the top of a bottle big enough to go around ur nem and feed it through where the cap goes the the clowns can get it
