I have 2 RBTA nems in my tank. The tank is 1 year and 7 months old. One nem is recovering from bleaching. It was closed up for a few weeks when my nutrients bottomed out. It looks great considering it is recovering. My other RBTA is newer and was doing well when I introduced it to the tank. I've noticed it's not nearly as open as it used to be. Both nems are in about the same location but one has a small toadstool in front of it a few inches away. Could this be irritating it?

The nem that's doing poorly is the one with the clown next to it, on the right. The other nem, that's recovering but seems to look ok otherwise, is a few inches to the left. You can see the small toadstool in front of the one rbta. I do run carbon in media bags.

I don't think the toadstool is the issue. They are not even close enough to touch and I think the nem would win that battle anyhow. Does the clown only use the problem nem as a host? If so, I would say the clown may actually be the problem (or at least part of it). That nem is tiny and the clown is big enough that it can literally love it to DEATH!

The female clown always uses the problem nem as a host. I never knew that size difference could be an issue but now I know. Should I just try to rearrange the rocks with the nems? Maybe move them to the opposite side of the tank?
