+1 to lettin' her hang out and move on her own after settling for an indiscriminate amount of time. Wouldn't worry about feeding her - She'll be fine w/ light beams (or she'll move to capture more of those sweet, sweet light beams).

You mention her spot right now is close to the overflow. I'd nem proof your overflow w/ some mesh that isn't going to cause your tank to flood. Just enough to keep a nem from getting sucked down into the sump. There are numerous threads here on R2R that detail nem-proofing powerheads and overflows. She's going to have a bad day if she takes a sump ride.

Just to close the loop on this topic... it should be noted that when in comes to RBTA there's no real guarantee of a spot that you prefer the RBTA to stay in. The BTA will move wherever the BTA feels suits it best. So best just to keep an eye on it daily and as Dancingmad suggests, cover those powerheads and intakes. I learned the hard way in my early BTA days and lost my tank twice before I got with the program.

Update: Well he finally came out from the rear bottom of my tank. I covered the back of my tank with a towel blocking about 75% of the light he was getting. Within a day and a half he had moved to this spot which is almost exactly where I would want him. He retreats deep into a crevace at night and doesn’t come out until 11 or so in the morning. Definitely doesn’t like too much flow. I have two Maxspect xf230’s and I had to crank them down to 20%. Hopefully I can raise that a little over time. I would like to run them on a cycle that ramps up as high as 50%.

Yes the anemone looks happy. He’s at least 6-8" across. The hawk loves sitting on the hairy mushroom. Just watches the anemone all day.

Grrrr he moved again. Opposite end of tank at the bottom between rock and sand. He looked so happy where he was.

He’s probably fine just getting adjusted to his new home and parameters. I got one 3 1/2 weeks ago and he moved for the first 2 weeks. He would stay for a day or two make me move my other corals away from him, and then he would move again making me move other corals. He was quite the turd but has stayed in his new sport for over a week now so fingers crossed he stays there.
