I have a 13.5 gallon Flual EVO and have a white platinum clownfish and a mocha clownfish, with many invertebrates. Just got my RBTA 2 days ago, just fed it for the first time today. Today it started to widen out and looks like a faded black almost. It still has original bright color and still flinches in when touched. I fed it today and it seemed to have went in the mouth. What can I do to make it healthier??

can you please provide us with your water parameters as well as how old the tank is and what your lighting setup and schedule is please?

Can you post a pic?

How old is the tank, what are your params like? Any ammonia, nitrite? Also what lights are you using and have you inspected the rbta for any physical damage to the foot?

A pic will definitely help.

pics and your parameters would help us help you:) also what lighting do you have?

Alkalinity is 8.9, calcium 390 and Magneiusm was 1800 as of yesterday. Salinity is always about 1.025. Ammonia Nitrite Nitrate and PH are good.

Had the tank for about a month

Ok, I’d start by checking ammonia and nitrite again, Anemones add a lot to the bioload and unless you used fully cycled rocks your tank is likely still cycling.

I’d also do a water change regardless of the results.

As far as lights are you using whatever came with the tank? If so, it’s unlikely enough. Has it tried moving? It looks retracted which is generally a stress response.

"Good" isn't an answer, need exact numbers, what some may think are "good" are actually out of spec :) also need to know tank age and lighting please :)

Yes it’s stock. It says it is good for coral growth as well. It has moved a lot, it’s in a weird hiding place for about a day now.

Yes correct.
It's highly likly that the light is insufficient to sustain a bta. When they say good for coral growth they could simply be talking about soft corals which can be sustained with virtually any light. If you plan on keeping the anemone I would strongly suggest upgrading your lights. AI Prime HDs are a great option that don't break the bank :)

1+ on this and it might be worth looking into some higher quality test kits in the future

Sounds good thanks!!

Also looks like you may be registering some ammonia..however I don't trust the API test kits all that much..if that is the case though I'd also do a couple of small water changes to help the little guy out.
