RBTA meets powerhead ):

Yeah I plan on getting some. I’m gonna turn off my powerheads & leave the return pump on for the night

By the looks of it, it seems like my other nem is planning an escape mission also. I’m thinking of turning the pumps off so I don’t have to worry about it getting into a powerhead/overflow. I should be fine with just the return pump for the night right?

Based on your video you only have 2 clowns and the anemones in your tank, so is ok to turn off the powerheads during the night. Also based on your video how old is your tank? because it look like just finished cycling the rock is super white. Anemones needs matured tank with lots of biodiversity to thrive, if your tank is too young they will be always unhappy.

your fine return pump on^^ is what sprunson meant to say i'm sure

Lol oops. I'm getting old and tired.

Btw I added my first anemone one month after my cycle and then a large carpet anemone two months after cycle. Both are still alive now a year later. It's really all about stability. I believe you can be successful adding anemone into a new tank as long as you take extra care of it. The difference between myself a year ago is that I'm much more knowledgeable now and that's important in caring for anemones. So if you're not sure about something ask here. I bug some experts here daily :)

I’m aware I got the nems early, the tank is a bit more than a month old. I’m surprised I haven’t gotten algae yet. I cycled it with 3x the recommended amount of bio spira nitrifying bacteria & ammonia. Light wise, I run only blues, no white. Maybe that’s why no algae? But anyways, regarding the nems, I just got them 3 days ago. Was just eager to get them for the clowns. I should’ve waited slightly longer I guess but can’t go back now

You're good. Maybe you have no algae because there is no algae source in there. I added corals a week after I added biosphira and that's when I started to get algae.

Yeah, that might also be a reason why. I plan on adding more corals if the nem thrives for 2-4 more weeks. I’ve seen a bunch of posts of people adding tons of corals in soon after dosing bio spira and ammonia & their tanks thrived
