RBTA morphs?

hey guys, I haven't been collecting RBTA's for a while so for those that have seen these guys forever, how many color morphs have you seen of the RBTA?

these are the ones I have currently.

RBTA with bluish/purplish base... more of a hot pink color

RBTA with green base... more on the orange side than red

RBTA with greenish base... kinda Rainbow'ish hint to it as there's some orange to it too. too bad all three of mine bleached out.

i've got one just like your last 3 sorta rainbowish but when i got it it was crystal clear... you can see it in my pix now how nicely its comming then my newest which is strawberry red with an almost black base.

i'm going to be getting one more at the end of the month hopefully that is totally red nothing more nothing less looks amazing

seems like the Rainbow'ish ones are the ones LA DD are posting as Balinese. these seem to be the more common ones coming from the wild. the red/orange and pink with dark blue base seems to be the ones that have been captive bred for a while. seems about right?

I haven't seen nearly the number of different colors as I would like. Some have seemed nasty until I got them into my possesion then I noticed how much photoshop. I actually bought one from the west coast recently that looked awesome, like a stained glass window. Spent a ton and it was just green with a nice pattern. (Actually recently saw the wholesalers pic, which was the exact same one the vendor used but saturated after the fact.)

Saw a blue one one of the vendors on here had, but the pic was so blurry who knows. Typically the most impressive ones I see are flames. This is the Hello Nasty flame I have, before the power head "incident"

so the Flame Tip is another morph of the RBTA? I find my Flame Tip to be more of the rusty orange color with awesome yellow'ish tips.

I need to get a regular pic of the above RBTA. pretty awesome. saw her yesterday all puffed up.

the fact that they would photoshop for a sale is disgusting! you're using the same lighting as the company advertised? if so i would write to them for a refund as its obviously not the morph you paid for!

There are quite a few morphs that we see. Out of about the 300 or so in stock right now, I would say there are at least 30 to 40 different colored ones.

I think it is a morph of rbta. As are orange ones. I'm still looking for a lemon drop and the holy grail colors like blue, black and deep purple. I think a dark chocolate color would be awesome!

As for the Lemon Drop, I think overtime, this morph tend to lose most of the green. As mine grows, their turning more and more orange when fully expanded but when deflated, you can def see the green. So many diff morphs and not enough room to house at least one of each.

BTA's can change colour so much from tank to tank, I have one that was more rose in my display and has gone orange with green in my frag tank. Same water...different lighting.
