RBTA needs help

I picked up a rainbow BTA and when i got it a piece of if split off like 1/8 of it I put them both in the tank and they looked full and good but since then its been looking worse and worse the lil one disappeared probably died under a rock and the big one cornered himself in a cave and is laying there flat with his face open and tentacles flat to the side it is still alive cause its moving but i had it almost 6 days and he hasnt eaten and lost his bubble look not its just skinny frail testicles

what to i do please help

When you say a piece split off... are you saying the anemone tore when you got it? An anemone that gets a tear in its foot will usually die. Or are you amsaying it split off 1/8 of itself? Which also makes me think it had been damaged.

It kind of sounds like it got damaged in the move or in the retrieval from the tank you got it from. If so and the foot is damaged its very likely the reason and may not make it. However a sure fire way to tell if that bad boy is going to die is if it starts having its mouth open and basically guts spitting out. However if it split(normally in 1/2 not 1/8) it could just be recovering from that initial split. I pic could help us though. Either way good luck cuz your parameters look good

It had a tear in its food and a piece tore off. A piece of the foot and some tentacles Id did not split down the mouth. His mouth is whole

MY bubble tips have big full testicles, not "skinny frail testicles" ^^^ (Sorry I had to)

The small section without a section of mouth is certainly dead. It does sound like the foot got torn. If that is the case as others have said it is probably not going to make it. How does the mouth look? Is it still tightly closed or gaping? It is possible for an anemone to heal, but the likelihood is small.
