RBTA nem hiding and closed up

Hoping for some insight. I have a smaller RBTA I purchased about a week ago. Drop Acclimated it for 3-4 hours and introduced it to my tank. It quickly found a spot on the top of the rocks, opened up and stayed out for 4 days. I have both leds and t5’s. I only had the leds on initially to keep it less bright. I started to have the t5’s On for short intervals once a day and the nem apparently didn’t like it. Took off under the rock work into an arch. He’s been there since. Initially he would open and act normal but he has been closed for 2 days solid. Attached are pics. Is it acclimating, is it dying, what’s going on? Are my phos and nitrate too low?

How do I elevate them if I only have chaeto? I don’t carbon dose or have reactors.

Tanks 7mths old. Lps, sps, and zoas are all growing like crazy. Tank parameters have been stable with my apex and dosing. I run a sump with only chaeto, no reactors, dosing ca and alk with a Neptune dos.

Alk 8.5, ca 430, mg 1330, nitrate 0, phos 0

Imo i would put the lighting back to led and up it slowly with the t5s and i would feed fish and lps corals more to raise trates and phos.

Does it look like it’s dying? Is it just mad? Can’t say I’ve had an anemone stay closed full time like this.

So I just did my regular water change and gently massaged it a little wiyhba gloved hand and sent a little water it’s way. It immediately opened up and started to move up the rock structure. We’ll see where it goes.

After my water change and “wake up” attempt. He’s back at the top, open, and gorgeous as ever. (Of course it’s in the back )

I wish I knew what was going on. I had and still have my T5’s off. I’ll keep them off for a bit and start very slowly. Its got a month to perk up and stay happy until my new clown pair is done in QT.

Sounds like he didnt like the light. I would stick with one or the other but not both .too bad you didnt have a par meter.

I do have a seneye. Haven’t measured the par with both yet. Leds are around 100 sih in his current area.

That really shouldnt be too much light then geez some of my nems are close to 300.. maybe just needs time to adjust.

That was my assumption. I’ll try a bit slower ramp up this time. Thanks for the help! It continues to look fuller and more open as the day progresses.
