I have an rbta in a 72 gallon bow front w good water parameters under kessil 150 w leds. I feed krill and silversides once a week and it became quite large. I've had him for six months in one spot on my reef and recently he split. He was stationary after the split or about a month, but now has moved to a darker area in top left corner of tank. Any ideas why he decided to become mobile? Nothing in the tank has changed over the past couple months w water quality, flow, or lighting. Thanks for looking and happy new years!

Got bored? :)

Maybe just competition if the split anemone is still there.

I've had two different nems split on me and both times one of them decided to go sight seeing while the other stayed put.

Thanks for advice guys. I ended up getting rid of clone cause it was anchored to a piece of live rocks it was easy to pull. Didn't expect the mom to take a stroll though. Mahalo again!

Splitting can be hard on them. It's common for them to become sensitive to light after the split and retreat to lower lighting. Reacclimating him to the light with a few layers of window screen, removing one layer every few days can help a lot. Also keep him fed and he'll bounce back.
