Woke up this morning and my nemm has split.... Into three! One has moved a few inches away from the other two which have stayed next to each other.
Very exciting stuff. I will get pictures up as soon as I can.

Yup yup! that's pretty exciting. :)

I have only had it for a few weeks and feed it very often, every time i feed my acans. So maybe 3 times a week or so. And I stand corrected, it split into four! I will try to get pics up today guys. Sorry for the tease.

awesome! congrats
sometimes they split due to the stress of moving into a new tank i've had it happen twice either way they all did fine
congrats and good luck

4... very nice. how big was she to begin with?

It was about 7 inches or so. Nothing huge. Had it for a week or two then split. Do you guys think that could still be from a stressful move?

I had a GBTA split less than a week of introducing it in the tank. Both hid for over a week. As of now though, both are doing awesome and healthy. My very first BTA and split.

Keep us posted on the clones.

Sure thing! As of now I have moved all my frags from that section of the tank to a frag rack and foam cover on the vortech. Hopefully to avoid any losses due to roaming. The two of the larger splits are right next to each other, one clone is just a few inches away from those two and the last and final started going on a roam rampage. The tank is 24x24x12 and I have a good amount of flow so they will only find a few spots in the tank suitable. So I helped him find a spot back near the other clones. How long should it take for the clones to fully heal? And what about feeding? I usually feed any left overs from when I feed the acans.

Give them a week or two to recover. Start trying to fees at week 2. Good luck. :)
