Received a freshly split RBTA a few days ago and it has been moving around the tank a bit looking for a comfortable spot i imagine? Meanwhile it looks like it might have dropped inside a hole in my rockwork. Will it climb out? Pretty lame to have such a cool anenome hidding away like this.

Moving or hoping for the ideal placement is just a lesson in frustration, an anemone is going to go where it wants for reasons of it's own. The anemone is acclimating and a fresh clone, I would leave it be for the time being.

You should be happy it found a hole to settle. What is your light source and setting?

I'm just not sure if it is able to fully extend in that area it seems pretty low, for instance the yellow base/mouth is about halfway or more down and the tentacles can't really open up to expose the mouth if that makes sense. Also Is it capable of vertically walking up the side of the rock like that i'm not sure if its juts unable to move now? Kessil A160W w/Kessil controller ramping up to 25% intensity peak. I also have a tunze 6040 in wave mode on the lowest setting possible As i'm not sure how much flow is too much flow for my corals.

BTA can squeeze through the smallest crack 1 tentacle at a time. It is amazing watching it move. The trunk/column can stretch several inches. 25% intensity is probably fine. Give it a few days and hope it will extend. I wouldn't worry about it being stuck.

Looks fine considering it's a clone and in a new home ... give it time as said previously they can stretch out further than you may think . It'll have to sort out and form its oral disc and mouth etc. Once done it'll soon be stretching for the light or having a wonder to find a more comfy spot . Just bare in mind , keep an eye out and wrap your power heads (if you have any and it goes walkabout) . Good luck , I have a Nem tank and they are very cool and look great ..

+all, It'll be fine. They prefer holes. They actually have sticky oral discs and will eventually when larger secure the oral disc to the rock as well. It takes time and patience. I have a relatively new addition that's still finding a sweet spot. Literally just moved to rock on the back wall yesterday. Others I have are buried in holes and stretch out to inflate their discs.

First one shows stalks. They do weird things when they eat sometimes lol. Others are just normal looking.

PS: don't freak out when it deflates and looks weird unless it's like that for >24 hours. They do that all the time. It's like an internal washout.
