Got a nice RBTA and while it was at the LFS it had amazing bubble tips and since oh had it in my tank for aboit 2 weeks now the tips just lost the look...is there a reason for that happening? And is there somthing I can do to help get the bubble tips form back in the tentacles?

Nothing you can do to get the bubbles back. Nobody knows why they bubble or don’t bubble.

They could randomly come back, but you never know what they are going to do.

Did it have a big change from the LFS to your DT? Lighting, SG levels?

The reason I ask this is because I keep my tank at what the LFS says they do.. they said there's is at a SG of 1.025, and that's were I keep mine so I was cool with it.
After I got home one day for giggles I tested their water before I started acclamating the nem I bought.. their water was actually 1.021... large difference
The nem was about 3 inches across it's oral disc when I got it.

I found that the nem is actually doing loads better in my tank. It is larger and more bubbly.. it is about 8 inches across after I had it for three days.

They were running deep blue radon lights and I am running a 30% blue and 15% white LEDs

Yours appears healthy and I would not in the least be concerned.

LFS keeps the coral tanks at .025 to .026 and my system is kept the same, only change I would say is lighting....tanks are under radions, not sure exactly the type but they are one of the more recent ones to come out

I plan on upgrading my lighting system but that wont be for some time, maybe that might be one reason? less par so they lost the bubble tips?

No one knows why they loose then or gain them. Lighting has no affect

what about coloring? My rose anemone has more florescent tentacles but the mouth and base is kind of plain brown. Anyway to get more color? Is this due to too low of light or too much? Right now i have a tall 65 gallon with 4 T5s over its (1 B+, 1 C+, 1 True actinic, 1 P+). I also run the lights from like 8 AM to 9 PM.

More light will color up the nem

Right now I have leds but I want to switch to a 6 bulb t5 ficture with blue led strips on the side to help with color pop but that wont be for another 2 months

personally I don't mind the longer tentacles. believe it that my nem actually have balls not bubbles just big mutated tentacles (covers his moth with them to protect I guess.) some are even growing 2-3 tips from one tentacle ball... strange. most of the younger new growth are just normal. then become almond then finally long straight then mutated. don't worry about it BTA's are weird

What do I have to to do for my clowns to actually want to be hosted by the nem? Seems like they don't want anything to do with it
