I recently ran into some issues that made me pause my dosing to recalibrate. Essentially I think I was overdosing even though I was hitting normal numbers.

I stopped dosing on Sunday. My CA was 430 and my Alk was 9.5. I checked the water parameters today. My CA is 420 and Alk is 5.5.

Obviously I need to get my Alk back up. But what is the next best step?

I dose using red sea foundation a and b. Do I just dose b until I get back up to spec? And then Monroe again for a few days to get everything balanced again? Trying to avoid overdosing again.

A little more info On the tank like inhabitants? Just to get idea of consumption. I’d start dosing small amounts and testing daily around the same time to give you a idea of how much the tank is useing hope this helps!

The tank is a 32 gallon AIO. Have a mixture of LPS and SPS, but predominantly LPS.

I would start slow adding alk till in range for what you want. Just test everyday for a week or so it will give you a idea of what is consumed.

If I'm using Red Sea, should I be using equal parts A and B? I guess I always get confused, because everything I read says to dose equally, but Red Sea's instructions and "recipe" have different parts calcium and Alk.

Did you double check you alk test, that # is really low.
