hello everyone I am new to the hobby I was wondering how many cleaners I should have for a 75 gallon tank. And what type snails shrimp extc

I really recommend reef cleaners. They are a sponsor here and have predestined packs based on your tank size. I've ordered 3 times from him and he has excellent customer service.

If you go to reefcleaners.org, click on the Custom Cleanup Crew link, and fill out the questionnaire, John will send you a list of what he suggests for your tank.

reef cleaners. just order less than you need. I ordered the 36 gal. pkg for my 120 gal. and there was a lot of snails. they give you a lot of extras.

Others may have differing opinions but I have had multiple poor experiences with shrimp (cleaner and peppermint). Blue banded hermits as well. The shrimp and crab are excellent food thieves and have picked food out of my corals mouths. The peppermint shrimp started to eat my tube anemone. Makes sense because they eat aiptasia. Just my two cents....

What kind of algae should I put in my refugium. Or just let it be and what ever grows grows

Chaeto or caulerpa are the usual go-to's. Chaeto is safer than caulerpa, which can wipe out a tank if it "goes sexual." (That's really what they call it.) Caulerpa is very invasive, as well, and illegal in CA for that reason.

thanks. I have 2 power heads in the tank but they seem be awfully load is that normal or should they be quite
