Hi everyone I have had my tanks readings perfect for last few weeks!!!!! Few wee!!!! But now have a problem ...my heat on my tank is normally 25.3 but when I turn on my blue antics it rises to 26.3 I have no heating on ,,, so how do I keep it a steady temp with or without lights on I need them on for my corals I doe poses floating chiller packs but they wouldn't look pretty during the day!!! Any help would be greatful and thank u to all of you who have got me and my tank up and running with totall success !!!!!! :xd:

hello there! I think that one centigrade degree difference between day and night should not have to be a big problem for your tank. I would definitely recommend having a heater just in case the temperature drops below your minimum. I hope this helps and good luck with things.

For those who are metric-phobic……25.3C (77.5F) to 26.3C (79,3F).

I agree that it is not that big of a temperature swing, but if you wish to stabilize it, put a fan blowing across the water. Ideally this fan would be tied into a temperature controller.

Try a little fan to cool the top of your water, should do the trick, but I also think it's no big deal.

If your up for a little, easy diy buy your self a stc-1000 for like $20. Make sure you watch some videos on proper wiring because it's almost impossible with the included instructions. With this controller you can basically plug in your heater and a fan into a common wall outlet. Then select a temp you would like to maintain within .3 degrees and it will do a wonderful job at keeping your temp stable. Just be ready to increase your top off if you add a fan. If your creative you can get a really nice temp controller for under $30.

Thanks guys ...... What would I do without you all ...... I might add a new addition today ...... Had new additions last night but of the four legged nature my rotti pixi had 8 bouncy baby's!!!!!!
