I am re pluming my cadlights artisan 100 gallon tank and building a return manifold. I bought a new Aqua medic dc runner 9.1 rated for 2377 gph. I had to convert the return line and overflow to standard from the metic sizes the tank did have. The return line is 3/4" up though the tank. So my question is, I don't see any real advantage to plumbing the retun line off the pump to 1" or 1-1/4" only to have to reduce it back to 3/4". Is there any real advantage to use 1" line if I have to reduce back to 3/4"

Thanks

No. The flow of water is limited by the 3/4" diameter, sorry. My return pump nozzle is I think 1-1/4 or 1-1/2" and I converted it down to 3/4" coming right off the pump. I have a Cadlights 70.

Im purchasing the same system. Was wondering if they still used metric the website doesn't even mention it.
