Re siliconing a tank question

Hey there, so I just finished re siliconing my tank and noticed I had a bit of a mess in a corner can I cut it or will this affect the seal. So basically dont touch it I'll try getting a pic to show the area i would like to clean

I forgot to mention that it is dry at this point
 
If you remove that section you will have to redo all the inside silicon seal. The way it was explained to me was that silicon does to adhere to silicon, as I have found with my own experiences. You could run it up but don't compromise the seal where the glass touches glass.
 
Resealing a tank is really only a cosmetic exercise anyhow. If your tank leaks, the structural seal is compromised and no amount of slopping silicone on the inside will properly fix that. I’d carefully cut out the smudged bit with a sharp single edge utility blade.
