I had to do an emergency qt in Oct. i am almost done with it but I have had to mix saltwater and copper in one of my water change brutes.

Is there anyway to safely use that brute again in the display tank?

What needs to be done to sterilize it and ensure no copper makes it into the system?

If it looks like clean plastic, I'd just give it a once over in some diluted bleach.

If it looks like it has calcium carbonate deposits on it, then I'd water to removed them first.

Just clean it and use it. If it was an issue every piece of equipment used in copper qt would have to be tossed or used in qt only.
Yes I've used equipment run in copper as well as rocks tho I used cupramine to remove copper from the rocks with no ill effects.
