Reaching zoas

Some of my zoas seem to be reaching while others are almost flat to the rock. How much of this is reaching vs natural length?

the zoas in question are the Saharan hyroglifics and the cats eyes on the right

"reaching" is usually an indicator of lack of light or lack of flow. try adjusting either of these to see if any changes happen. zoa's are also weird. sometimes they stretch or shrink just because.. could just be a natural process for them.
