Hey everyone,

So my 45 JBJ AIO has been set up since mid November of last year. I purchased the tank as a used set up and swapped out the rock work around December or so. I’ve been having trouble getting nitrates and phosphate under control. Tank is only stocked with five small damsels and CUC and I feed fairly light. Nitrate averages between 10-15 and PO4 1.025. I’m thinking the PO4 is leaching from the rock. I have a small refugium set up in one of the back chambers since January but haven’t seen a significant reduction. I do a ten gallon water change weekly.

So I’m looking to reactor and media recommendations to help reduce at least the PO4 to more reasonable levels. Looking for something that can fit in one of the chambers of the JBJ 45. A YouTube channel I’ve seen suggested a mini-max, but wasn’t too enthusiastic about the construction.

Any thoughts?

Marine Depot has a video on upgrades for that tank. They put two reactors in it if I remember correctly
