Reactor teed off return pump?

I purchased a Red Sea Reefer 170 and for the return pump I ordered a Sicce Syncra Pro 2200. Red Sea recommends 530 gph and this pump is rated at 55o. Using the supplied flow control valve, can I use a tee to run a 150 phosban reactor off of the return pump or do I need to build a manifold? I run my other reactors with power heads and it would be no problem to order another one to run the reactor if this is the way to go. Thanks!
