Read sea reefer 250 build

Hello i am new to REEFKEEPING... Been keeping saltwater tanks for a few years but never kept any corals with success so just stuck to keeping fish.. recently though ive decided to dabble in keeping corals but decided to do things properly. I want to keep things simple and easy for now
I had a aqua one 120 for about 3 years which ended up in a bad state because of new baby and not having the time so ive neglected it...BIG TIME!

I have purchased a red sea reefer 250 and have started off fresh. I want to keep things simple as i mentioned earlier but to me its less about equipment and more about the corals and fish so here goes..

I would hugely appreciate anyones help as again i am relatively new to keeping corals

My old tank in very bad shape... i decided to do some heavy maintenance of EVERYTHING.. pumps cleaned hair algea manually removed and a few water changes few days apart

After plumbing the tank and leak testing it and leveling it etc i went on to add the sand i used live fiji sand 40lbs to give me 1 inch across the whole bottom
