Reading test results when you’re colorblind

So as I am begin my journey into setting up a reef aquarium I realize that reading the test depends a lot on color. Being about 70% color blind makes it next to impossible for me to read the test results accurately. Luckily my wife will read them for me and we make a great team. I was wondering, are there any recommendations on test kits that do not require color matching? I’ve read through the forums and there is a lot of data in there but nothing specifically targeted at this question.

Hanna meters.

They give a hard number and not any kind of color matching.

Hanna testers. Im not color blind and I still struggle with the whole "what color is it closest to" kinda system.
Once I got my Hanna testers I gave away my Salifert testers.

Color matching test kits is also not a perfect science. After some practice, your wife will get good at noticing the colors in between the different color swatches on the card and guesstimating the appropriate levels.

Very important to read results in natural light. If you have led lighting in the room, there will be red hues that throw off the readings.
