Reading Tropic Marin Hydrometer

Just want to confirm this scale as it is different than their older hydrometer. For example the line splitting the numbers 1.025 is the exact value and the large dot below would be 1.0255? In the attached photo the top of the meniscus is just touching the the line below the dot and would be 1.0256. Is that correct? Not sure why the line with the dot is bold compared to the others unless the dot below 1.025 is where that value is read? ( This is just for demonstration purposes in the photo. A correct reading is taken from the bottom of the meniscus)

Yes, the way I read it is that the dot is 1.0255 and through the center of the number is 1.0250
