Lost half my coral in the last 36 hours. No idea why. Even the feather dusters lived. Only good part is all the fish survived. Just so mad.

And I have to go in for minor surgery tomorrow.

Just so frustrated!

Breath, deal with what you want to deal with and try to relax and not work yourself up on things that are out of your control.

Focus on you first and foremost the tank will be addressed another day. If you can get a friend to help you. What is "is" and now its only dealing with the fall out. One thing at a time.

I can certainly understand the frustration. So sorry!!!

Hey Bro... I know what you're feeling, suffice to say a lot of us here do as we have been in your shoes at one point or another... as stated focus on you for now and getting through the surgery, we can work on the rest once you better!

Any extenuating circumstances that may have lead to a change in levels?

What are your levels right now?

Sorry about your loss. If you decide you had enough of corals dying you can just do a fowlr, but you may reconsider once your through your surgery and the stress is gone.

Very sorry about the troubles. But as long as the fish are ok at this point I would focus on the surgery and then after you have recovered focus on the tank. It'll take time, but it might be nice to work on the tank during your recovery as well.

Best of luck!

I know the feeling. Lost all my fish in a 4 day period about a year ago. It was very heartbreaking. Only 1 of 17 survived. Get through the surgery and tank will be back in check in no time.

Most of us have been there at one point in time. Like most things in life, persistence and not giving up will always carry you further in the long run. Like most said above, take care of yourself first (that's most important!) then let's talk about what is going on in your tank. Plus it will give you something to pass the time recovering. I've made it though ick ( witch wiped out half my fish population), brown jelly ( by by to all my precious torches), and one heck of a case of Dino that I though I would never get rid of. Keep your head up and hope everything goes well.

my tank is going through a little crash, well with my zoas, my hard corals are thriving. But I did have a huge crash one time and lost 90% of my stuff.

I don't even want to tell you how many losses I have had over the past 40 years but I keep coming back.

Fair wind to your wee boat.

Been there homie. Surgery and all. Sorry for the losses. Get everything right with your health first and we're here to help you get the reef back on track. Keep that chin up. I think most everyone on here as been through this so we feel for ya!

We are sorry for your problems. Agreed hopefully surgery went well and prayers for a speedy recovery. The tanks a bummer but we've lost 5 complete systems while in hospital with complications from cancer surgery. I walked into home after few days away and they were gone. Everything we were moving and I think landlord did it outta spite. We've pulled up bootstrap and started over after a break. Please don't give up. You'll regret it over time. God speed recovering.
