Hi. I started cycling my new 80 gallon tank 3 weeks ago with 40kg of live rock. I had a tiny ammonia and nitrate spike and a brief diatom bloom. Have currently got a little hair algae on the back of the weir. Apart from low ph all parameters are normal. I did play around with the live rock during cycling to aquascape but tried to keep it in buckets of water from the tank then put the water back. I have a 30 gallon (about a year old) waiting patiently with a bunch of corals - LPS, a nepthia and some zoas. I also have 3 clowns, a yellow tang and a bangaii. Can I start to transfer over? I know you're meant to transfer the fish first but would have to tear my tank apart to catch them so doing corals first.

Live rock, ammonia spike, diatoms... detectable nitrates? It sounds like you're just about ready. If the pH is something you're going to try to fix, I'd do it before you get corals in there. Slow and steady wins the race!
