Hello, sometimes when testing Calcium, DKH, and Magnesium the color will change and if I let it sit there for like 30 seconds it will change back to the old color is this because not enough reagent has been added?

What test kit are you referring to? and are you shaking the test tube after you add each drop?

On the titration tests, it is normal for the color to revert after a while. When you see the complete color change after shaking (doesn't immediately revert) then that's your result number. Also, make sure it gets to the final color. There will be degrees of color close to final, but the titration isn't complete until it fully changes.

I have kept going with adding more and got the color to stay the same are you sure that's not the final results?

I asked that because I was thinking since it has everything in it to cause the color to change and stay the same the and not change, maybe that would be the accurate reading since that was what the color we were looking for?

If it takes 30 or so seconds to revert, you're probably within a drop or so, anyways. I think either way you should be accurate enough for what we need for our reef.
