Hey everyone. Just wanted to get involved with folk that can give good advice on starting a new saltwater tank. Have a 55 gal freshwater now. Am putting in an identical tank for saltwater. Have not had any dealing with saltwater other than in the wild as I grew up in Florida near the coast. Am looking forward to hearing from some of you. Have a great day

Hi there!! Welcome to R2R!! These guys and gals will help you every step of the way! Don't hesitate to post any and all of your questions, and when you start your new tank, you should start a build thread so we can follow along!! See ya around, and happy reefing!

Hello and welcome to r2r and to the hobby :welcome: Don't hesitate to ask any questions that you may have, and best advice I can give is to do your research and take things slowly. Nothing good ever happens fast in a reef tank :D

Welcome to R2R! Thanks for joining and please make sure and post often!

welcome to r2r would if you have any questions dont be afraid to ask. would love to see you do a build thread on your 55g tank setup

Welcome to R2R. If you have room I would go with a 75g. 55g and a 75 are the same length but a 75 is wider so you can do better aquascaping. Feel free to ask any questions. We are all here to help each other.

Welcome to R2R. Please do yourself a favor and consider either a 75 or a 40 breeder. They both are wider and have much better aquascaping potential than a standard 55. I have a 55 and have struggled with the narrowness of the tank. Can't wait to see your build. :)

Welcome to the forum! I would also suggest against a 55.
