So I have a foxface in my quarantine tank and any time I come into the room and get close to the tank it starts darting around like crazy banging into the glass etc. It's usually fine if I keep my distance from the tank so I know it's just due to me being so close.
He's due to come out of quarantine in a couple days but I'm wondering if I need to worry about the fact that it's so skiddish.

I'm also worried because I've noticed him hovering under the flow of the hang on back filter.. Not swimming into the flow just kinda hanging out there (I have a powerhead in the tank too that he doesn't do this with) but I cant get close enough to inspect him for parasites or anything without him freaking out.. It could be nothing but I just don't know..

He went through 2 rounds of prazi and has been in copper for almost 30 days now

Any tips or advice?

Mine was similarly spooked when I had to move him into qt for medication. I think they are just naturally shy - do you see any secondary signs of infection?

I don't see any signs of anything but it's hard to get a good look at him.
I just thought the shyness would have wore off after almost 2 months

Foxfaces are one of the jumpiest fishes around. I've been stung by them a few times doing maintenance because they freak out, and they had been in the dt for years.

Well that's very reassuring.. Lol

Nope, that's how they are, I was really worried about mine in qt. Once he went into the dt, he jumped right into the mix. Still a little moody, but eats like a pig and is out and about looking awesome.

Same here. While mine was a juvenile in QT he freekdout every time. Once he went into my 200g he became very docile. He currently eats from my hand and has torn a couple of gloves as they have surprisingly strong teeth [emoji2]

What would be the best way to go about getting this guy to the dt? I feel like I'm gonna freak him out so bad trying to catch him and with the move..

They can be real strange. Mine likes to sleep up on the overflow, looks like hes stuck to it. He has done it for years and he is perfectly fine.

I remember mine being worrisome in qt, acting just like yours. If you have put him through prazi and copper and dont see any other symptoms, I wouldn't worry
