Really concerning!!

We do a lot of aquaculturing ... but do most of us have any idea where our "Krakatoa" and "Rasta" zoanthids or our "Oregon Tort" and "Red Dragon" acros were originally collected? Have our corals been introduced to unknown pathogens somewhere along the line, which aren't native to the places they're originally from?

The reefs have provided to us, but are we ready to provide what they need now?

Humans are too selfish and we don't live long enough! If we lived a couple hundred years we would be accountable for our actions. We will reap the whirlwind! It's only a matter of time.

Our hobby does effect the ocean ..and so does everthing else.we want corals that's simple, and ppl need money so they dive chop corals and so on .and as the world gets more and more populated ,more mess more emmisions we put in the atmosphere, the ocean is huge and plays the biggest role in the world.how many ppl actually take the time to recycle. .should coral prices rise ?yeah they should, we make a impact on the worlds reefs, I bet u ask ppl how much they recycled during the yr,the numbers are going to be low because it don't pay us that much or its a waste of time or we don't want the trash around our homes so we throw it away,I ve done it several times myself ,think driving your cars don't impact the world . As world grows more demands will rise and more oil spills and ice caps will melt. I see the big picture maybe 100 yrs from now we will have depleted all of our resources and our future great grand kids will be fighting to survive, just my 2 cents

True but how much of it will be left
to be a devils advocate....how many times have we heard of a "dead skeleton" popping out babies, months after it died? The worlds reef IS being destroyed and its so sad to see but it will survive and will repopulate eventually. I dont mean to sound unphased , but in another million years...the earth will be just fine. The earth has gone through cycles of hot and cold before and will continue to do so even after all of us are gone.
