So I've been in the hobby since '96 or '97. Had at least 10 tanks of various sizes by now (including a 110, a 210, a 156, and now a 250). I read the Delbeek and Sprung books way back when (and didn't understand half of it and/or forgot the other), Martin Moe, and many others with pretty pictures.

Reefing has come a long way since then, and I'd love to go back and read with the ability to really absorb that comes with experience. Sooooo, what book or books would you recommend? What I really want to understand better is the pH/alkalinity/calcium balance/utilization process (and other chemical processes that are important, e.g., magnesium, strontium, iodine, etc. that we test for) and to have a good resource for disease i.d. and treatment -- both prophylactically (i.e., in QT) as well as when disease is encountered.

Recommendations?

Thanks
