Thanks for the info..

Do you guys have any advice on feeding once they are hatched? I have read spirulina powder, dry yeast, and selcon. But the selcon seems to foul it, and the yeast only seems to keep them for a little bit.

I've been thinking of buying a 5 gallon tank and trying that? I would love to grow some out, after all the attempt I have made with learning to hatch them..
I've read phytoplankton or phytofeast.

I reall don't think that temp is a factor. I never had a heater to warm the water. Always had great hatch rates. The key is circulation the eggs always need to be moving to hatch properly. Its not very difficult as I stated earlier I was like 12 years old when I was hatching brine shrimp. Good luck.

If you're feeding them out in the first 24 hours, you don't need to feed them at all. They are carrying their own purse with snacks for the first bit. When I was trying to grow them slightly larger, I used a artemia enrichment. I love spirulina and feed it to my regular fish as a vitamin.

I know that why I feel kind of stupid. It shouldn't be this hard.

I use these and my tank water in a 2 liter. 60w bulb. Air line secured to cap of inverted bottle.collect after 24 hours or sooner. Longer usually has less to collect. Not sure why.

Ok.. So when you say spirulina, are you talking about powder?

But that's what shows you're not stupid.... I don't believe you're doing anything wrong, so in my opinion, it's another variable.

This is where I got my stuff from. Seahorse Source Enrichments

It is haaaaaaaaaaard to raise them to adulthood. It was so not worth the effort. You'll start with a million and end up with like 5.
Lol.. Nice.. Well.. Ok then.. Because I am only feeding like 10 baby bangai, if I buy some powder, will that keep them alive and fed until I can use up all of the say "single hatch"?

I used to match the age of the brine to the age of the horse. The older horses got bigger food. I always had 8 bottles going and would keep them for 7 days..... but I had a lot to feed.

Try dropping your salinity to 1.019.

I was talking to a friend who raises clownfish. He says my problem is the air stone I'm using isn't keeping the eggs rotating. A lot of my eggs are sinking. He said to try a rigid airline, at the very bottom. Keeping them rotating is important.

He also uses an egg from a California company off ebay. He said he'll get the company name after work.

Oh, you mean the eggs are on the bottom when there is air on? I assumed you meant when you stopped the flow. Like he said, don't use airstones. They need to be larger bubbles that come up from the bottom. They also get trapped in those microbubbles.

I did something similar, but had the holes in the bottom of the 2L bottle inverted. I would definitely use rigid tubing.

What I found is air coming from the bottom into the container gets the eggs moving better. So, I hook up a airline to the bottom of my 2Liter through a port and air comes from bottom. Ever since I used this method, works great. I also used rigid airline that sits at the bottom to keep eggs from sitting in the bottom. Worked well too. I will try to get a pic.

I use my tank water and some ro/di water to keep salinity around 1.018- 1.019. Heat I never worry much about. I have no light on them. I get great hatch rates, but usually 24 -26 hours for mine. Maybe it is the heat thing. :)

My cysts were from Florida Aqua Farms. I do not grow mine out. I feed after hatch to system.
