So I had a scape I liked a week or so back and for the life of me could not at all replicate it in the tank from the cardboard cut out. So this is what I have so far, that I like, but I am struggling and would like some input. It has a handful of holes for the fish to swim through but no real caves I guess. I'm looking to add corals later on. Not really looking at SPS right now. Maybe at the very top of this scape I could pull off some SPS but I just really need some input from some outside eyes. Will this scape be good for corals or do I need to start all over? And I painted over my ugly mug in the one picture so as not to scare anyone off haha

I would pull your rock away from the glass on the sides. Makes cleaning easier

I would make sure your magnet cleaner can pass and if that is good then your solid. Aquascapes change so much with corals, and big lps are quite dramatic. No need to stress over it as it’s going to change with livestock and you will put the coral where you like the looks.

Looks too blah to me. Typical rock wall. Seperate the rocks. Make pillars with them instead. And put one in the front center for an island.

Pillars like this cept on a smaller scale

If you didn't pay allot of money for that rock I'd start over and go with something like liferock shapes. I used it in my first tank ever not too long ago and it's much nicer than your standard rock.

But if you're set on using what you have I'd do what the above poster said and build higher into a more pillar shape. Then branch off that and make sort of an arch.

Imo nothing wrong with his rock.. Id just do something diff with it.

Try seperating it and making two pillars leaving the sides and middle open with 1 rock on the bottom front

For that sized tank, I actually like the scape. Leaves plenty of room for fish and gives you plenty of options for coral/growth.
