Really strange and concerning clown behavior

Wow do I feel like a failure. Ammonia is at 6ppm. No need to tell me that I'm terrible, I already know. I will dose a little bit more of that one and only stuff and start a large water change.

He passed same day. I dont contribute it all to ammonia as he was having alot of white poop and he seemed out of it in the bag

Also my RFA and Mushroom are doing brilliant which is odd

Internal parasites don’t kill like that. You didn’t cycle properly and acclimate long enough (at all). If it took only a day or two to die then it was shock if it was a week or so then it was tank parameters. Also, your rock is too clean, an indication that you didn’t cycle properly. You need brown diatoms before you’re even halfway there. Long story short, always acclimate! Salinity and parameters matter but temperatures are the biggest factor.

It’s not odd. Sea life can tolerate some “off parameters” as long as they’re from fundamentals are in order. Shrooms are resilient as long as lightning is proper. Clowns are also tough jerks but if you don’t acclimate the temperature you’re going to lose fish. It’s not the internal parasites, they cause a withering effect. Not to say they didn’t impact it but they can live in the wild a long time like that. However, sudden temperature changes are killers.

He has to get used to your water parameters.
You may have shocked him by putting him straight into the tank.

STOP MOVING THE ROCKS!!!!
I'm sure you are freaking him out with that.
Let him get comfortable.

Stop feeding!
Don't pollute the water if he's not eating right now.

Leave the lights off for a few days.
Give him time to get his life together.

He's either going to make it or he won't.
If you catch him, you can't get him used to the water anymore than him just getting used to where he is now.

Good luck.

I'm sorry....

I guess I did not read the entire thread.

for the future...

SLOOOOOW DOWN.

Get the tank and water right and STABLE.

Sorry he did not make it.
Don't go rushing out to get a replacement though.
Get the water under control first.
