As my setup nears a year old, I'm finding myself increasingly wanting to move around my rock.

My current arrangement isn't really great for coral placement, and I'd like to have more places built up higher for corals.

Any suggestions on secure ways to move and secure live rock without it being out of the water long enough to create die off?

Last time I did this I used a couple of 5gal storage totes from walmart for 4$-5$ each. You want the rocks you intend to place high to be well out of the way while you arrange others, to prevent toppling. That way you can assemble smaller modular structures of 2 or 3 rocks easily.

For securing, there's plenty of putty type solutions that will hold rocks in place.

Will any of those putty solutions set underwater?
