reasonable priced skimmer for a Redsea 170

Good morning, I was wondering if anyone can recommend me a reasonable (200-250 dollars) priced Protein Skimmer for a redsea 170 personally would love if the Skimmer is on the small side since the sump is only about 10 gallons and 34 gallons on the Display Tank. I been browsing and searching but its been kinda hard for me since there's so many different brands and prices, and im new to the hobby.

So after doing a little research I found this 4 skimmers. but im still confused as t which one will be the better option.

Im not sure if I should be recommending this as ultimately I had to replace it but I had a ghost mini in my small tank n it did work real well there were no parts to fix it but their other sizes they did perhaps u could look into this.good luck with your tank n happy reefingR

I have a Bubble Magus Curve 5 Elite on my 75 an it works VERY well. If you go the Curve 5 route, be sure to get the elite. I uses a Sicce pump and has a number of other upgrades that make it well worth the slight increase in price. I picked mine up at a LFS for $225.

I run the bubble magus curve 5 in my reefer 170. Fits just fine in the sump with room to spare

I have a Reef Octopus Essence 130 in my 170. This is a little more then you were hoping to spend, but the skimmer runs great in that tank.

i went ahead and ordered the Reef Octopus Classic 110 (229 total and free shipping) it seems like a very good brand by looking at some other posts about the same skimmer. i will post some pictures and an update on how is working in case someone also looking for the same Skimmer .
