Reasons why tanks crash??

that will help you stop testing for nitrites permanently

by not testing for something that is completely neutral in our reefs, you reef with better resolve and less reaction dosing should the test kit misread one day.

I do a 15% water change twice a month. I personally need to gravel vac when i do my water changes. Corals always respond well. Also avoid chemicals cleaners for nuisance algae. Make sure your Po4 does not go below .03 and keep nitrates at or above 5 but lower than 35.

This is what works for me.

Can someone tell me a few ways people have crashed their tanks? I'm trying to do everything possible to avoid it happening in my tank.
Adding Livestock without proper quarantine. Which most often leads to an outbreak of pests and parasites which eventually will clear out a tank one way or another.

Definitely true as a good prevention. Any experienced reefer will tell you that or dip alone is not 100%
