Rebirth

My alveopora.
A coral that I was "afraid" to buy.
My first 2 attempts with gonioporas were not good (they languished after a few months) and as alveoporas have a reputation for being even more delicate, I always avoided them.
In July, with the good development of gonioporas, I decided to risk this ....... the first video is from 10 / July and the second is from today .....
You can see several new tentacles growing out of the old ones.
I think it works out this time.

Love your tank! Where did you get the diploastrea? I'm starting a new project and I really want one. I've kept one before but it was slow growing.

Hi Steve.
I got it from a friend, owner of a fish store here.
He got it from an Indonesian shipment, some time ago, and kept it for himself.
From time to time he frags it, and sell the frags.
Mine is a slow grower too....and a bit aggressive. I had to appart it from the other corals. It was stinging really bad a favia that was close.

Hi Janci.

Both are not soo well.......

I am dealing with all the stuff that we all are trying to go through..........and the tank is suffering with hair algae.......and due to dynos, I've losted a lot of acros. Almost all my frags died/browned out.

And I'm not having the will to deal with problems in the tank. So I'm only letting it go.

It is good to hear from you, Alex and I hope that all will work out fine in the end.
Wishing you the best

Sorry to hear that. I had a dino crash this year too and it's absolutely crushing. It's hard to find any motivation when seeing frag after frag die.

I'm finally coming out the other side now and I wish you all the best.

Right now, there's no sign of dynos.
Since I decided to let the tank goes by itself the hair algae took place and the dynos slowly desapeared.
I must start this week a Fluconazol treatment to deal with algaes.....
I hope that things give me a break because I really need it.
