Alex
Beautiful!!

I decided to give sand another chance.
This time, instead of put back the old and whashed sand, I got a bag of AF Biosand.
It's quite different of my old sand and i liked a lot of the look of it.
The next months will show if this was the right decision.

Untill now, everything is fine......

Glad to see you back in action Alex.
And the reef looks stunning.
Always fun to come back to this thread.
Thanks mate!

Let's update.....
After 5 months the tank is almost recovered from the last dynos strike.
On the bad side too, I lost my maculiceps in March, without no sign of nothing.

On the good side, I got 3 new led fixtures.
This time I decided to give a try to the Radions XR15 Blue, Gen 5.
It have a very good spread andthe corals are giving me some good signs...

A new time is coming....
6 months after the last dinos problem, the tank is coming back....again....

I suspect that dinos problems has something to do with my old Vega fixtures. Back on 2011 I had some dino problems and back then, I found that dinos outbreaks can have a relation with lighting problem.

Now, with the new Radions, I hope that tank could be free from dinos from now on.

Today I did some water tests

Ca - 480ppm

Mg - 1560

KH - 8,2dKH

Numbers are in the high side.
Maybe due to high salinity....I'm keeping it around 35~36 ppt.
I'll pull it down to 34~35ppt in the next water changes.
