Recently got a engineer goby

Hey so I recently got a new juvenile engineer goby it’s been about 48 hours and still seems to have no interest in food was wondering if that is normal or what should I do

Anyone got any ideas

I’ve had that. Has it maxed itself a burrow yet. Mine had to feel nice and safe before it would eat.

No it hasn’t it just swims around the corner of my tank

I mean it looks healthy and very energetic but it is just staying on one side of the aquarium and won’t eat

What food have you tried?

Well pellets and mysis shrimp and baby brine

He is still at the stage of looking like a coral cat fish and not like an eel

Well if it looks healthy then it may just take a few days

yay he just started spitting sand so I think he is making a Borrow

I think he is getting cozy

Fish tend to act weird when first added.

Try frozen algae and other frozen meaty food, they like a variety. Mine didnt eat pellets when she was a baby like that, she would spit them out
